A Parking Fee Checking System

Abstract:

The thesis presents the software - system to control parking charges. The goal was to design a data storage and software solution of that system. The first chapter contains explanations of the most commonly used terms in this thesis. in second chapter could be found reasons why I chose this topic for this thesis. Chapter 3 is devoted to the research offered parking systems at present and a brief description. The fourth chapter is devoted to process analysis system, the definition of input conditions and the description of the process. Chapter 5 describes the database structure for storing traffic data and on its basis was elaborated model database. Further, this chapter describes the process model of the entire solution. Implementation of the system are discussed in Chapter 6, which describes the main application solutions and two additional helping applications to simulate the input data. Chapter 7 is detailed in application testing to check the parking charges, including conditions of entry testing process and generate e-mail messages in case of infringement of the paid parking lot. At the same time they were also tested using a simulation application to input data. Finally, chapter 7 contains an assessment test. The last chapter contains an assessment for the fulfillment of the objective for the thesis and offers opportunities for further expansion of the system to control parking charges.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca prezentuje softvér - systém pre kontrolu parkovacích poplatkov. Cieľom práce bolo navrhnúť dátový sklad a softvérové riešenie daného systému. Úvodná kapitola obsahuje vysvetlenia najčasťejšie používaných pojmov v tejto diplomovej práci. V druhej kapitole sú uvedené dôvody voľby práve tejto témy diplomovej práce. Kapitola 3 je venovaná prieskumu ponúkaných parkovacích systémov v súčasnosti a ich stručným popisom. Štvrtá kapitola je venovaná procesnej analýze systému, definícii vstupných podmienok a popisu procesov. V kapitole 5 je popísaný návrh databázových štruktúr pre uskladnenie prevádzkových dát a na jeho základe bol vypracovaný model databázy. Ďalej táto kapitola obsahuje popis procesného modelu celého riešenia. Implementáciou systému sa zaoberá kapitola 6, ktorá popisuje hlavnú aplikáciu riešenia a dve pomocné aplikácie pre simuláciu vstupných dát. V kapitole 7 je podrobne popísané testovanie Aplikácie pre kontrolu parkovacích poplatkov, včítane vstupných podmienok procesu testovania a generovania e-mailových správ pri porušení pravidiel používania platených parkovísk. Súčasne boli testované aj pomocné aplikácie pre simuláciu vstupných dát. Záver kapitoly 7 obsahuje vyhodnotenie testovania. Posledná kapitola obsahuje hodnotenie splnenia cieľa diplomovej práce a ponúka možnosti na ďalšie rozšírenie systému pre kontrolu parkovacích poplatkov.
