The Comparison of Translations of the Popular Scientific Texts on Material of the National Geographic Magazine
Abstract:
Tato magisterská práce se zabývá komparací anglické, české a polské mutace časopisu National Geographic. V teoretické části představuji teorii překladu, faktory, které ovlivňují překlad odborného textu, osobnost překladatele a nejčastější chyby. V praktické části se věnuji srovnání čtyř vybraných článků.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with comparison of the english, czech and polish version of the National Geographic Magazine. The theoretical part focuses on the theory of translation, the factors influences translation of scientific text, the personality of the translator and the most common mistakes. The second part focuses on the comparison of four chosen articles.
