Cognitive rehabilitation in occupational therapy in individuals with Alzheimer's disease

Abstract:

Abstrakt Úvod: Bakalářská práce je vypracována na téma: "Kognitivní rehabilitace v ergoterapii osob s Alzheimerovou demencí." Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce je charakterizovat problematiku Alzheimerovy choroby a následně aplikovat poznatky do ergoterapeutických intervencí. Metodika: Hlavní část práce je zpracována formou kazuistiky klientky s diagnostikovanou demencí Alzheimerova typu s pozdním začátkem. Metodika je vypracována na podkladě strukturovaného a nestrukturovaného pozorování, volného rozhovoru, testování dle standardizovaných testů a analýzou zdravotní dokumentace. Výsledky: Výsledky práce vycházejí z diference mezi vstupním a výstupním ergoterapeutickým hodnocením, kdy autorka práce zhodnotila zda po dobu ergoterapeutické intervence došlo ke změně zdravotního stavu a k vytyčení největších patologických odchylek. Diskuze a závěr: Vyhodnocení a posouzení spolupráce klientky po dobu ergoterapeutických intervencí. Shrnutí průběhu individuálních a skupinových terapií s klientkou, a zhodnocení zda byly splněny cíle a úkoly práce.

Abstract:

Abstract Introduction: The bachelor's thesis is based on the topic: "Cognitive rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy for people with Alzheimer's dementia." The aim of the thesis: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to characterize the problems of Alzheimer's disease and subsequently apply the findings to occupational therapy interventions. Methodology: The main part of the work is processed in the form of a case study of a client diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer's type dementia. The methodology is based on structured and unstructured observation, an open-ended interview, standardized tests and analysis of medical records. The results: The results of the work are based on the difference between the initial and final Occupational Therapy assessment, where the author evaluated whether there was a change in the health status during the occupational therapy intervention and highlighted the identification of the most pathological deviations. Discussion and conclusion: Evaluation and assessment of the client's cooperation throughout occupational therapy interventions. Summary of the course of the individual and group therapy sessions with the client, and evaluation of whether the aims and objectives of the work were achieved.
