Ways of pensioners getting informed

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na seniory a informace. Výzkumný vzorek kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření tvořili senioři žijící jak v domácím prostředí, tak i v domovech pro seniory. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak současná starší generace přichází k informacím jakéhokoliv druhu. Předmětem práce je zjištění zdrojů, které senioři využívají k získávání informací, míst a osob, které jim je poskytují a průzkum oborů lidské činnosti, ze kterých senioři nejčastěji informace získávají. Analýza získaných dat vyjadřuje souvislost mezi sociálními aspekty života a přístupem seniorů k informacím a posuzuje vliv úrovně soběstačnosti seniora na jeho možnosti přístupu k informacím.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the ways how pensioners get informed. The research sample of quantitative survey consisted of both pensioners living at their homes and in homes for the elderly. The goal of the thesis was to find out how the elderly generation today gets information of any kind. The subject of the thesis is to identify the sources pensioners use to get informed, the places and people providing seniors with the information, as well as research of fields of human activities which the elderly get the information most often from. The analysis of the collected data expresses coherence among social aspects of life and pensioners´ access to information and judges the influence of pensioner´s self-sufficiency on their opportunities to reach information.
