Psychopathological Complications of Patients at Traumatology Intensive Care Unit

Abstract:

Anotace Tato diplomová práce se zabývá psychopatologickými komplikacemi, které se podílejí na prodloužení doby hospitalizace u pacientů po operačním výkonu. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaký je vztah mezi délkou hospitalizace a výskytem pooperačních komplikací (nově zjištěná demence, delirium). Dále byly zjišťovány vztahy mezi dalšími faktory (věk, pohlaví, psychosomatické onemocnění, typ anestezie) podílející se na prodloužení doby hospitalizace pacientů. Práce se také věnuje screeningovým testům Montrealský kognitivní test (MoCA), Addenbrookský kognitivní test - revize (ACE-R), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), 7 Minute Screen a jejich možnému využití v předoperační i pooperační péči. Výsledky práce jsou diskutovány.

Abstract:

Annotation The diploma thesis deals with psychopathological complications, which cause prolongation time of hospitalization of the patients after surgery. The aim is to investigate what is the relation in between length of hospitalization and post-surgery complications appearance (newly discovered dementia, delirium). Further on the relations of further factors were investigated (age, sex, psychosomatic diseases, type of anaesthesia) causing prolongation of the time of hospitalization of the patients. The thesis is also observing different screening tests such as Montreal cognitive test (MoCA), Addenbrook cognitive test – revision (ACE-R), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), 7 Minute Screen and their possible use in pre-surgery as well as post-surgery care. The results are subject of discussion.
