Oracle Database Security

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zpracovává téma ochrany dat Oracle databáze a má poskytnout ucelený přehled o možnostech zabezpečení databázových dat, mapuje různé bezpečnostní prvky Oracle databází a popisuje používané bezpečnostní normy. Dále si klade za cíl implementaci bezpečnostních prvků na databázi ASR, které jsou vyžadované normou PCI DSS, a zabezpečit tak citlivá klientská data uchovávaná v této databázi. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části popisuji používané pojmy, bezpečnostní komponenty a běžně používané metody databázové bezpečnosti. Dále popíši existující bezpečnostní normy aplikovatelné na Oracle databáze a ostatní aspekty ochrany dat. V praktické části pak zhodnotím dotazníkový průzkum a v rámci přípravy projektu provedu „Proof of Concept“ zabezpečení databáze v souladu s požadavky normy PCI DSS.

Abstract:

The subject of the Diploma thesis is the issue of data protection. It should also provide a comprehensive overview of the Oracle database security capabilities. It focuses on various security features and describes the database security standards. The thesis aims to implement the security features in the ASR database that are required by PCI DSS, and to secure sensitive client data stored in this database. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the concepts used, safety components and commonly used methods of database security. It describes the existing safety standards applicable to Oracle Database and other aspects of data protection. In the practical part I will evaluate the questionnaire survey and during the preparation of the project I will create a Proof of Concept of database security hardening in accordance with the requirements of PCI DSS.
