Abstract:

A firefighter are those persons who are special trained in firefighting mainly to destroy or eliminate the hazardous fires which may harm the animal life, property and environment and also to save them from that dangerous situation. Firefighting is a risky occupation, which lead to cause a chronic illness, such as cancer and heart disease, and in behavioral health issues that may end in suicide. According to National Fire Protection Association there are 310 fatalities in USA in between year 2015-2019.Although the firefighting is the single job but have to go through a lot of work inside it. They experience these and other threats to their safety and health in situations that can change quickly or be influenced by weather or other rapidly changing environmental conditions. All the test were perform to identify whether the fabric will reach the minimum requirement and standards for firefighter clothing or not. It helps to identify the change in climate from fabric to skin or skin to fabric. Nomex and proban, two different fabric were used for evaluating the impact of Ultraviolet weathering on tensile properties, bending properties, air permeability and radiation heat transmission. Atlas weathering machine UV340 was used for the degradation of fabric. Ten samples of Nomex and ten samples of Proban were used for the ultraviolet exposure and the second part of experiment was performed on those sample. The TestoMetric (tensile test), Radiation Heat transmission equipment (Calorimeter), Air permeability Test equipment (FX3300 Textest instruments, Flexibility testing instrument (TH-4, Tuhomer) were used to evaluate.The finding of study reveal that the performance of Nomex is better in each experiment.

Hasiči jsou osoby, které jsou trénovány nejen v boji s ohněm za účelem eliminace nebezpečných požárů, které ohrožují životy lidí a zvířat, majetek a životní prostředí, ale také za účelem jejich ochrany v různých nebezpečných situacích. Profese hasiče je riskantní, vede ke vzniku chronických nemocí, jako je rakovina či nemoci srdce, a také k rozvinutí psychických problémů, které mohou vést až k sebevraždě. Podle americké Národní asociace ochrany před požárem (NFPA) zemřelo v USA v letech 2015-2019 celkem 310 hasičů. Hasiči jsou vystaveni různým situacím, které se mohou rychle změnit a mohou být ovlivněny počasím nebo jinými měnícími se podmínkami prostředí. Cíl práce je zaměřen na testování textilií, zda textilie splňují minimální požadavky a standardy kladené na oblečení pro hasiče. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na komfort oděvu. V rámci experimentu byl sledován vliv povětrnostních podmínek (UV záření) na vybrané vlastnosti textilií. Na přístroji Atlas UV 340 byly textilie vystaveny simulovaným povětrnostním podmínkám, kdy bylo provedeno testování dvou druhů textilií Nomex a Proban. U těchto textilií byla sledována změna vlastností před a po expozici v Atlas UV 340. Byla sledována změna těchto vlastností: pevnost a tažnost (na trhačce Testometric), přenos tepla sáláním (pomocí Kalorimetru), prodyšnost (nazařízení FX 3300 Textest) a tuhost v ohybu (na TH-4). Výsledky měření byly zpracovány a vyhodnoceny. Z výsledků je patrné, že Nomex měl lepší výše uvedené vlastnosti než Proban.
