The purposes and ways of depicting nudity in the film "Fifty Shades of Grey"

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práce se zabývám způsoby a účely zobrazení nahoty a erotických scén v hraném filmu. V první části práce popisuji základní pojmy filmových prvků a základní kompoziční pravidla. Dále se zabývám používanými stylistickými formami, vývojem erotických scén, a zobrazením nahého těla ve filmovém průmyslu/filmu. Druhá část práce je soustředěna především na popis a následnou analýzu filmových scén zvoleného filmu „Padesát odstínů šedi“. Každá scéna obsahuje shrnutí, ve kterém uvádím nejdůležitější jevy, opakující se prvky a vysvětlení účelů zobrazení nahého těla v každé scéně. Z provedených analýz shrnuji, jak erotické scény ovlivňují celý film a k čemu se používají.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I deal with the ways and purposes of depicting nudity and erotic scenes in feature films. In the first part of the thesis I describe basic concepts of film elements and the basic compositional rules. Then I discuss the stylistic forms that are used, the evolution of erotic scenes, and the depiction of the naked body in the film industry. The second part of the thesis is mainly focused on the description and then analysis of the film scenes of the chosen film “Fifty Shades of Grey“. Each scene contains a summary in which I list the most important phenomena, recurring elements and the explanation of the purposes of the depiction of the naked body in each scene. From the analyses, I summarize how erotic scenes affect the whole film and what they are used for.
