The Performing of the Audit of Receivables and Payables at the selected Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku auditu pohledávek a závazků. V teoretické části je vymezena účetní závěrka, povinnost jejího ověřování auditorem, významu a pod-statě auditu samotného. Je popsána právní úprava auditu v České republice, a samostatné kapitoly jsou věnovány Mezinárodním auditorským standardům a postupu při provádění auditu. V praktické části je krátce uvedena společnost, na které jsou provedeny auditorské testy pohledávek a závazků, se zaměřením na testy věcné správnosti. Testování pohledávek je zaměřeno na ověření jejich existence, správnost ocenění a zaúčtování do správného období. Závazky jsou otestovány na jejich úplnost, zaúčtování do správného období a jejich správnou klasifikaci jako krátkodobé či dlouhodobé.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issues of the audit of receivables and payables. In the theoretical part there are specified a financial statements, the obligation of its verification by an auditor, the significance and the substance of an audit itself. Also there is described a regulation of audit in the Czech Republic. Individual chapters are dedicated to the International Standards on Auditing and a process of auditing. In the practical part there is shortly stated a company, in which the audit tests of receivables and payables are carried out, focused on the substantive tests. Testing of receivables is concentrated on the verification of their existence, the correctness of evaluation and the accounting for the right period. Payables are tested about their completeness, the accounting for the right period and their correct classification as short-term or long-term.
