Řada látek přítomných ve složkách životního prostředí působí na hormonální systém organismů různými mechanismy. Kromě chemické analýzy se ke zjištění přítomnosti těchto látek v enviromentálních matricích používají také nejrůznější biotesty pro zjištění anti/estrogenního nebo anti/androgenního potenciálu vzorků z prostředí. Many substances present in the enviromental affect hormonal system of organisms by different mechanisms. Beside chemical analysis for detection of specific substances, variety of bioassays for detection anti/estrogenic or anti/androgenic potencial of samples have been designed and used.
