Not even in my (bad) dream!

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám tématem snu a jeho interpretací. Vycházím ze svých vlastních snů, ve kterých hraje velkou roli krajina. K práci na tomto tématu mě přiměl především obsah těchto častých snů, který se v každém z nich, až nápadně opakoval. Většinou se jedná o sny značně znepokojující, a proto jsem se rozhodla se o jejich význam intenzivně zajímat, jak pro mě osobně, tak také o jejich všeobecnou funkci. V každém ze snu chodím nebo bloudím prázdnou krajinou z okolí mého bydliště. Jedná se o naprosto obyčejnou, všední přírodu, která mi však poskytla více než zajímavý vizuální zážitek, který jsem se rozhodla výtvarně zpracovat. Právě krajina se často objevuje v dílech různých umělců či dokonce celých uměleckých hnutí a směrů, jež se sny záměrně pracují a v mnoha případech se stává jejich hlavním námětem. Studiem rozsáhlého tématu snu jsem se dobrala k symbolu, archetypům a také k mýtu, který mě obzvláště zaujal a dává mi souvislosti právě mezi uměním, snem a také krajinou. Krajině ve snu se budu věnovat vˆ teoretické a také v praktické části práce. V rámci praktické části chci zpracovávat především vizuální motivy a emocionální zážitky ze zmíněných snů a vzhledem k tomu, že sny reflektují konkrétní, reálná místa, chci zkusit pracovat také s prvkem reality.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I am dealing with the subject of dream and the interpretation of it. Inspiration is based on my own dreams where the landscape plays an important role. Especially the content of these frequent dreams made me to work on this theme. The contents of each dream were noticeably repeated. Dreams are mostly very worrying, therefore I decided to be intensely interested in their meaning, for me personally and also for their general substance. In each dream I walk or wander in the empty landsape in the surroundings of my home. It is totally common, everyday nature. On the other hand it provides me with more than interesting visual experience which inspired me to make an artwork. Just the landscape often appears in the works of various artists or even whole art movements that intentionally work with dreams. It commonly happens to be their main subject. With studying of extensive topic of dream I discovered symbol, archetype and also myth which particularly intrigued me and gives a connection between art, dream and also landscape. I will devote to the topic of the Landscape in Dreams in theoretical and also practical parts of my thesis. Within the practical part of the thesis I want to process primarily the visual motifs and emotional experiences from the mentioned dreams and in view of the fact that dreams are reflecting the specific real places, I want to try to work also with the element of reality.
