V této diplomové práci s názvem Přínos Umberta Eca do literární teorie představuji dílo jednoho z nejznámějších světových sémiotiků a spisovatelů 20. století Umberta Eca. V rámci jednotlivých kapitol popisuji životopis Umberta Eca, literární teorii a naratologii. Sleduji vědy, k jejichž představitelům Eco patří, a to estetiku a sémiotiku. In the thesis with the title Contribution of Umberto Eco into the Literary Theory I introduce the work of one of the most famous world semiologists and writers of the 20th century Umberto Eco. Within the individual chapters I describe the biography of Umberto Eco, literary theory and narratology. I follow the sciences which are represented by Eco, namely aesthetics and semiotics.
