Tato práce se zabývá původní básní Beowulf a jejími filmovými a seriálovými adaptacemi - Beowulf: Král barbarů, Beowulf, a Beowulf: Návrat do Shieldlandu. Analyzuje tyto adaptace při hledání podobností a rozdílů s původním příběhem. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the original poem Beowulf and its film and television adaptations - Beowulf and Grendel, Beowulf and Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands. It analyzes the adaptations in the search of the similarities and differences from the original story. The goal is to find a pattern of repeating themes and motifs that the filmmakers added in order for the films to be successful and popular …more
