Eyes-free text entry methods for the devices with touch interface

Abstract:

The thesis introduces the reader the issue of visual impairment and its classification. There is a description of cummunication between the blind and his or her surroundings. The creation of prototype using touchpad and Morse code recognition is the main topic of thesis. Prototype simulates touch screen of mobile phone. The conclusion is devoted to the prototype testing and evaluation of results.

Abstract:

Práca oboznamuje čitateľa s problematikou zrakového postihnutia a jeho klasifikáciou. Popisuje dorozumievanie sa nevidiaceho s okolím. Hlavným ťažiskom práce je vytvorenie prototypu s použitím touchpadu a Morseovej abecedy, ktorý bude simulovať dotykový displej mobilného telefónu. Záver práce je venovaný testovaniu prototypu a zhodnoteniu výsledkov.
