Abstract:

Nigérie je domovem nepřeberného množství přírodních divů a množství nevyužitých zásob ropy. Tempo růstu HDP se v průběhu posledních několika let zrychlilo. V několika z těchto případů k této expanzi významně přispěl ropný sektor. Někteří lidé věří, že všudypřítomná přítomnost ropy je klíčem k otevření dveří ekonomické expanzi a zajištění pokračující prosperity regionu. Do vývoje ropy v Nigérii se investovalo značné množství. Účelem tohoto výzkumu je prozkoumat, zda existuje či neexistuje korelace mezi změnami ceny ropy a ukazateli ekonomického růstu Nigérie. Aby bylo možné tohoto cíle dosáhnout, spojuje se mezi řadou různých faktorů, jako je míra inflace, objem zahraničního obchodu, míra nezaměstnanosti, hrubý domácí produkt a poměr čistého zahraničního dluhu k hrubému domácímu produkt, bude prošetřen. Za účelem zkoumání povahy vazby mezi cenou ropy a dalšími makroekonomickými ukazateli budou provedeny standardní jednotkové kořenové testy, kointegrační testy a testy kauzality.

Abstract:

Nigeria is home to a plethora of natural wonders and a wealth of untapped oil reserves. The rate at which the GDP has grown has picked up speed over the course of the last several years. In several of these cases, the petroleum sector has been a significant contributor to this expansion. Some people believe that the ubiquitous presence of oil is the key to opening the door to economic expansion and ensuring the region's continued prosperity. There has been a significant amount of investment in oil developments in Nigeria. The purpose of this research is to investigate whether or not there is a correlation between changes in the price of oil and Nigeria's economic growth indicators. In order to accomplish this goal, the link between a number of different factors, such as the rate of inflation, the volume of foreign trade, the unemployment rate, the gross domestic product, and the ratio of net foreign debt stock to the gross domestic product, will be investigated. In order to investigate the nature of the link between the price of oil and other macroeconomic indicators, standard unit root tests, cointegration tests, and causality tests will be carried out.
