This thesis focuses on the medieval Arthurian romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and its contemporary film adaptation The Green Knight (2021). The thesis aims to gain a deeper understanding of the medieval perspective and concerns of the poem to analyse the changes and updated themes of the film adaptation.
