Abstract:

Úvod: Cílem disertační práce, bylo srovnat spojení epikardiální adipozní tkáně (EAT) a Diabetu Mellitu 2 (DM2) pomocí echokardiografie. Dalším cílem disertační práce bylo také ověřit spojitost EAT s DM2 u případů poslaných na pitevní vyšetření. Metody: Ve dvou provedených studiích bylo měřeno 247 dobrovolníků (71,9+-5,3 let) ve studii Kardiovize Brno (KV) a 50 (71,8+-5,8) zemřelých poslaných na pitevní vyšetření. V obou studiích byly měřeny základní hemodynamické a antropometrické parametry. Výsledky: Výsledky studie ukázaly, že tloušťka EAT je signifikantně vyšší u skupiny DM2 v obou studiích. U DM2 skupin u obou studií byl nárůst tloušťky EAT dominantně v regionech pravé komory. Bylo také ukázáno, že pouze u skupiny DM2 byl významný rozdíl mezi tloušťkami EAT v jednotlivých částech srdce, a to shodně v obou studiích. Závěr: V této práci bylo ukázáno, že EAT je spojena s DM2 a také, že výsledky jsou podobné v echokardiografické a také v pitevní studii. Navíc byla prostudována možnost, že DM2 se spojena s nárůstem EAT pouze v regionech pravé komory.

Abstract:

Introduction: The main aim of the dissertation thesis was to investigate the echocardiographic connection of Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) and Diabetes Mellitus type II (DM2). The second aim of the thesis was to investigate if the areas of echocardiographic EAT have the same results as the autoptic EAT. Methods: In two studies were measured 247 volunteers (71,9 +-5,3 years) enrolled in the Kardiovize study (KV) and 50 (71,8 +- 5,8 years) remains sent for autopsy. In both studies were obtained basic hemodynamic and anthropological measurements. Results: Results have shown that EAT thickness is significantly increased in the DM2 group in both studies. Compared to non-DM2 groups, DM2 groups of both studies have significantly increased EAT thickness in the RV (right ventricle) regions. Moreover, only in the DM2 groups of both studies was a significant difference between the EAT thickness in RV regions. Conclusion: It was shown that EAT is connected to DM2, as was presented in the echocardiographic and the autoptic study as well. Moreover, it was investigated that DM2 might be connected to the RV region more likely than other regions.
