South Bohemian Parish Hrejkovice. Metamorphosis of the Traditional Village as the Consequence of its Socialization

Abstract:

Rok 1948 a následná socializace venkova natrvalo zničila nejenom jeho tradiční způsob hospodaření a po staletí fungující sociální strukturu, ale zasáhla do všech oblastí života vesnického společenství. Tato diplomová práce ukazuje proces socializace na příkladu jihočeské obce Hrejkovice. K analýze využívá především písemné prameny, které doplňuje výpověďmi respondentů. Základní zdroj informací představuje rodinná kronika B. Pauknera (1881-1961), jejíž doba vzniku v letech 1950-1960 časově vymezila i tuto práci. Zápisy B. Pauknera jsou konfrontovány s obecní kronikou a se vzpomínkami pamětníků tak, aby vytvořily obraz života vesnice v 50. letech 20. století a zachytily jeho proměnu v oblasti politické, hospodářské, náboženské a kulturní.

Abstract:

Year 1948 and the subsequent socialization of countryside forever destroyed not only its traditional way of farming and for centuries existing social structure, but affected all the areas of rural communities life. This thesis shows the socialization process on the example of a South Bohemian village Hrejkovice. There are mainly written sources used for analysis, completed with testimonies of the respondents. As a primary source of information serves a family chronicle of B. Paukner (1881-1961). It came into being in the period 1950–1960 and determined from the point of times also this work. Records of B. Paukner are faced with local chronicles and memories of survivors to form a picture of village life in the fifties of the 20th century and to capture its metamorphosis in the political, economic, religious and cultural areas.
