The Effect of Annealing the EN AW7075 Alloy Ingot on the Resulting Properties

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá posouzením vlivu homogenizačního žíhání na mikrostrukturu a výsledné vlastnosti hliníkové slitiny EN AW 7075. Slitina byla porovnávaná ve stavu litém a ve stavu homogenizovaném. Celkem se uskutečnily čtyři homogenizační režimy při teplotě 480 ?C s rozdílnou dobou výdrže a rozdílným způsobem chlazení. V teoretické části jsou popsány jednotlivé hliníkové slitiny, daná slitina EN AW 7075, krystalizace hliníkových slitin a homogenizační žíhání. Praktická část práce se věnuje přípravě vzorků, jejich mikroskopické analýze, měření tvrdosti dle Brinella a měření konduktivity. Naměřené hodnoty byly zpracovány do tabulek a grafů a následně mezi sebou porovnány. Hlavním cílem bylo charakterizovat strukturu litého čepu po homogenizaci a porovnat mezi sebou jednotlivé homogenizační režimy. Mezi vedlejší cíle práce patřilo porovnání hodnot tvrdosti a konduktivity jednotlivých vzorků.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the influence of homogenization annealing on the microstructure and final properties of aluminium alloy EN AW 7075. The alloy was compared in the as-cast and in the homogenised state. A total of four homogenization regimes were carried out at 480 ?C with different residence times and different cooling methods. The theoretical part describes the different aluminium alloys, the given EN AW 7075 alloy, the crystallization of aluminium alloys and the homogenization annealing. The practical part of the thesis deals with the preparation of samples, their microscopic analysis, Brinell hardness measurements and conductivity measurements. The measured values were processed into tables and graphs and then compared with each other. The main aim was to characterise the structure of the cast pin after homogenisation and to compare the different homogenisation regimes with each other. Secondary aims of the work were to compare the hardness and conductivity values of the individual samples.
