Contribution of genetic and autoimmune factors to Sjögren´s syndrome pathogenesis.

Abstract:

Tato rešeršní bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vliv autoimunitních a genetických faktorů v patogenezi Sjögrenova syndromu jako jednoho ze systémových autoimunitních onemocnění, které postihuje převážně žlázy s vnější sekrecí a bývá provázeno četnými extraglandulárními manifestacemi. Je v ní uvedena klasifikace autoimunitních onemocnění, jsou charakterizovány principy a mechanismy autoimunity, popsány příčiny vzniku autoimunitních onemocnění a jejich průběh. Pozornost je věnována zejména epidemiologii a genetice Sjögrenova syndromu. Práce je doplněna kazuistikou.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the influence of genetic and autoimmune factors in Sjögren's syndrome pathogenesis as one of systematic autoimmune diseases which attack exocrine glands and is accompanied by numerous extraglandular manifestation. In this thesis, there's a classification of autoimmune diseases, description of principles and mechanisms of autoimmunity, and the causes of autoimmune diseases and their development. Attention is also dedicated to epidemiology and genetics of Sjögren's syndrome. The thesis is complemented with case history.
