The Knowledge of Aragonese Dialect and the Vocabulary of Vegetables and Fruit in the Area of Zaragoza and its Surroundings

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the Aragonese dialect and knowledge of its vocabulary of fruit and vegetables in Zaragoza and its surroundings. It consists of two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part introduces the issue of sociolinguistic and dialectology and explains important terms such as dialect and language. It presents the Aragonese dialect and other Spanish dialects including their characteristic features. The second part is dedicated to the evaluation of questionnaires, which investigate the relation of respondents to the dialect and their knowledge of vocabulary connected with fruit and vegetables.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aragonským dialektem a znalostí slovní zásoby tohoto dialektu v oblasti ovoce a zeleniny v Zaragoze a okolí. Sestává ze dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická nás uvádí do problematiky sociolingvistiky a dialektologie a seznamuje nás s klíčovými termíny jako je dialekt nebo jazyk. Představuje aragonský dialekt a ostatní španělské dialekty, včetně jejich charakteristických znaků. V praktické části se zabýváme vyhodnocením dotazníků, které zjišťují vztah respondentů k dialektu a jejich znalost slovní zásoby z oblasti ovoce a zeleniny.
