Open-source solution for logistic and forwarding problems

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on an open-source solution of logistic and forwarding problems. The author designs and implements a routing service based on open data from OpenStreetMap project which analyses the planned route, calculates where the breaks must be taken and finds nearby parking spots for the break. As a part of the solution the mapping service was implemented, which is able to render map tiles and present them to user, display mark with current position and state of vehicle and differentiate already passed part of the route. Also, the toll service was designed which could work as an extension of OpenStreetMap data model which should help with calculating the price of the tolled route.

Abstract:

Práca sa venuje riešeniu s otvoreným kódom logistických a špedičných problémov. Autor navrhuje a implementuje smerovaciu službu založenú na otvorených dátach z projektu OpenStreetMap, ktorá analyzuje naplánovanú trasu, odhadne miesta, kde budú uskutočnené povinné prestávky a nájde najbližšie parkovacie miesto. Časť riešenia je implementovaná ako mapová služba, ktorá dokáže vytvárať a zobrazovať mapové dlaždice používateľovi, zobrazovať aktuálnu polohu a stav vozidla a rozlíšiť už prejdenú trasu. Taktiež bola navrhnutá mýtna služba, ktorá by mohla fungovať ako rozšírenie OpenStreetMap modelu. Služba by mohla pomôcť s určením výšky poplatkov za spoplatnené cestné komunikácie.
