Development of Prices of Selected Commodities

Abstract:

Subject of this thesis is to analyze the development of oil prices, gold and silver. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the evolution of price points selected commodities. To evaluate development data have been used for the last 10 years. The first part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of commodities, stock trading, as well as the characteristics of futures. We approached the fundamental and technical analysis, under which traders pay close attention to supply and demand for a particular commodity or the study of graphs, which look for different formations, working with indicators and thus try to trace the evolution of prices. The second part is devoted to individual commodities, their characteristics, species and composition, and their actual historical price. Third, the last section describes the interdependence of selected commodities and investment opportunities in individual investments through optimal portfolio.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je analýza vývoja ceny ropy, zlata a striebra. Hlavným cieľom diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť vývoj cenových relácií vybraných komodít. Pre vyhodnotenie vývoja boli využité dáta za posledných 10 rokov. Prvá časť diplomovej práce sa zameriava na charakteristiku komodít, obchodovanie na burze, ako aj na charakteristiku futures. Priblížili sme si aj fundamentálnu a technickú analýzu, na základe ktorej obchodníci venujú veľkú pozornosť ponuke a dopytu po konkrétnej komodite či študujú grafy, kde hľadajú rôzne formácie, pracujú s indikátormi a snažia sa tak vysledovať vývoj ceny. Druhá časť je venovaná jednotlivým komoditám, ich charakteristike, druhom či zloženiu, a ich samotnému historickému vývoju cien. Tretia, posledná časť popisuje vzájomnú závislosť vybraných komodít a možnosti investovania do jednotlivých investícií pomocou optimálneho portfólia.
