Abstract:
The diploma thesis is focused on translation. It's theory, types and strategies which can be used by a translator. Further part describes popularity of Czech prose in Poland. Then the author tried to write the criticism of the translation of two novels by Michal Viewegh - Bringing up Girls in Bohemia and The Sightseers. Praca skupiona jest na przekładzie. Jego teorii, rodzajach oraz strategiach jakie może stosować tłumacz, przekładając dany tekst. Dalsza cześć opisuje popularność czeskiej prozy w Polsce. Następnie autor pokusił się o krytykę przekładu dwóch powieści Michala Viewegha - Wychowanie dziewcząt w Czechach oraz Wycieczkowicze.
