Accounting softwares - their development and comparison of selected accounting information systems according to determined criteria

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je stanovení návrhů pro zlepšení softwarových produktů společnosti EKO-SOFT, s. r. o. na trhu s účetními softwary, ve smyslu nabízených služeb a doplňkových aplikací pro stávající či potenciální uživatele. Diplomová práce se v první kapitole zabývá obecně uznávanými účetními zásadami, vnitřním kontrolním systémem účetnictví a informačními potřebami uživatelů účetních softwarů. V druhé kapitole jsou přiblíženy formy a techniky vedení účetnictví od prvopočátků až do současnosti. Je zde popsán jejich vývoj. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na deskriptivní historickou analýzu účetního softwaru společnosti EKO-SOFT, spol. s r. o. a na rozbor účetního programu EKOSOFT a zabývá se například deskripcí vlastností, systémovými požadavky, moduly a pravidly pro používání tohoto účetního systému. Dále se tato práce zabývá komparativní analýzou vybraných účetních softwarů za pomoci předem stanovených kritérií. Na základě toho jsou řešeny výhody a omezení softwaru EKOSOFT. V závěru práce jsou navržena doporučení, jež by měla zmírnit či úplně odstranit zjištěné nedostatky obchodní politiky se softwarem u společnosti EKO-SOFT, s. r. o..

Abstract:

The major objective of the thesis is to comprise a set of recommendations to improve the software products the company EKO-SOFT Ltd. of market accounting software in the sense of offered services and complementary applications for current or upcoming users. The first chapter of the diploma thesis deals with generally accepted accounting principles, the internal accounting control system and the information needs of the users of accounting information software. The second chapter then introduces the topic of methods and techniques of bookkeeping from its very beginnings until present. Further on it describes their development. The third chapter aims itself at descriptive historical analysis of an accounting software designed by the company EKO-SOFT Ltd. as well as it focuses on analysing the accounting programme EKOSOFT from the point of description of its characteristics, system requirements, modules and the rules for usage of said system. Further on the thesis deals with the comparative analysis of particular accounting software with the help of pre-set criteria. The thesis discusses the advantages and limitations of the EKOSOFT programme. The conclusion of the thesis provides a set of recommendations which ought to reduce or even fully remove detected drawbacks of the EKO-SOFT Ltd. software business policy.
