The thesis deals with the use of bone scintigraphy and SPECT/CT examination in the diagnosis of bone metastases and avascular necrosis of the femoral head in adults. It describes the basic pathogenetic events that occur during the development of both diseases, discusses the main scintigraphic and radiological findings on CT and X-ray images and mentions the technique of the SPECT/CT examination.
