Ling sounds in speech therapy of children with hearing impairment

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku kontroly funkčnosti sluchové protetiky u dětí se sluchovým postižením v situaci před zahájením logopedické intervence. Hlavním výzkumným cílem práce bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem či za využití jakého nástroje nebo testu je v současné době tato kontrola zajišťována. Parciálními výzkumnými cíli bylo vytvořit adaptovanou verzi testu šesti Lingových zvuků pro české prostředí, analyzovat reakce dětí na tuto upravenou verzi testu a zjistit jeho časovou náročnost. Tento nástroj je hojně využíván v anglo-saském prostředí. Výzkumné šetření bylo realizováno jako kvalitativní, formou individuálních testování. V teoretické části práce je rozveden auditivně verbální přístup jako strategie výchovy dětí se sluchovým postižením a také teoretické poznatky o testu šesti Lingových zvuků.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the issue of checking the functionality of hearing aid for children with hearing impairment prior to the commencement of speech therapy intervention. The main research objective was to determine how or with what tools or tests is this check currently provided. The secondary research objectives were to create a version of the Ling-6 Sounds test adapted for the Czech environment, analyzing children's reactions to this modified version of the test and determining its time demands. This tool is widely used in the Anglo-Saxon environment. The survey was conducted as qualitative, using individual testing. The theoretical part elaborates on the auditory verbal approach in the role of a strategy for education of children with hearing disabilities and also on the theoretical knowledge of the Ling-6 Sounds test.
