The Influence of Bullet Material on Bullet Velocity Dispersion

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá měřením rychlostí střel 9 mm vyrobených z různých materiálů. Hlavním cílem práce je navrhnout, připravit a provést experiment balistického měření k určení vlivu materiálu střely na rozptyl rychlostí střel. Praktická část práce zahrnuje balistická měření na osmi různých vzorcích střel vyrobených z materiálů běžných pro jejich výrobu a dostupných k jejich pořízení. Všechny střely měly srovnatelnou hmotnost a byly použity při výrobě nábojů pro tento experiment. Měření rychlosti těchto projektilů bylo provedeno za pomoci přístrojů pro měření rychlosti střel, používajících technologii založenou na Dopplerově jevu, a následně byly určeny střední hodnoty a směrodatné odchylky. Tyto hodnoty mohou využít střelci v praxi nebo poslouží jako základ pro další zkoumání.

Abstract:

This study focuses on quantifying the velocities of 9 mm projectiles made from various materials. The main aim of this study is desing, prepare, and conduct a ballistic measurement experiment to determine the influence of projectile material on the dispersion of muzzle velocities. The practical part of the study includes ballistic measurements on eight different samples of bullets made from materials commonly used in their production and readily available for buyer. All bullets had comparable mass and were used in the manufacture of cartridges for this experiment. The velocity of projectiles was measured using instruments utilizing Doppler effect-based technology, and subsequently, mean values and standard deviations were determined. These results have the potential to serve practical shooters as well as provide a basis for further research in the field of ballistics.
