The impact of language teacher’s oral production on teaching

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tématu verbálního projevu lektora a jeho vlivu na výuku. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je specifikován pojem lektor a jeho pole působnosti. Dále se teoretická část zaměřuje na verbální, neverbální a paraverbální aspekty řeči s přihlédnutím k výhodám a nevýhodám v lektorské profesi. U paraverbálních aspektů jsou popisovány také řečové a výslovnostní vady, se kterými se můžeme u lektora setkat a jsou tu předloženy možné způsoby nápravy. V závěru teoretické části je vyzdvihován význam zvládnutí řečové techniky pro učitele. Praktická část práce se opírá o metody dotazníku a ankety. V této části jsou zpracovány odpovědi od respondentů, kteří mají zkušenost s lektorem s defektní mluvou a vyhodnocení ankety, která získávala informace z pedagogických fakult v České republice týkající se uchazečů s řečovou či výslovnostní vadou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the the impact of langugae teacher’s oral production on teaching. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis specifies the term language teacher and its field of activity. It also focuses on verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal aspects of speech, taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of the teaching profession. In paraveral aspects, the thesis also describes the speech and pronunciation defects that we can meet with the language teacher and offers possible ways of remedy. At the end of the theoretical part the thesis emphasizes the importance of mastering speech techniques for teachers. The practical part of the thesis is based on the questionnaire and survey methods. In this part the thesis elaborates answers from respondents who have experienced with a lecturer with a defective speech and evaluates a survey that received information from faculties of education in the Czech Republic concerning applicants with speech or pronunciation defects.
