Diminutives in the Czech for Foreigners and the Analysis of their Use by Non-native Speakers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou deminutiv v textech psaných nerodilými mluvčími. Analyzované texty pochází z žákovského korpusu Merlin. Zkoumaná deminutiva jsou rozdělena do jazykových úrovní A1, B1 a B2 a dále zaznamenána v grafech. V další části práce byla provedena analýza prezentace deminutiv ve dvoudílné učebnici s názvem Česky krok za krokem. Učebnice češtiny pro cizince popisuje deminutiva z hlediska četnosti a místa jejich výskytu a obsahuje výčet všech nalezených deminutiv.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the diminutives in the texts written by non-native speakers. The analysed texts come from the learner corpus Merlin. The diminutives which are examined are divided into language levels A1, B1 and B2 and are also recorded in the graphs. In the next part of the thesis, there was performed an analysis of a presentation of diminutives in a two-part textbook Czech step by step. In the textbook of Czech language for foreigners, a description of the diminutives is described in terms of frequency and places of occurrence and the enumeration of all the found diminutives.
