A group artetherapy with students with Asperger Syndrome

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of elements of group art therapy in the correction of problems associated with the education of individuals with pervasive developmental disorders, in a special class of ordinary primary school. The theoretical part defines the concept of pervasive developmental disorder and specifies Asperger syndrome and childhood autism. It deals with the characteristic features of art expression of children with autism. It provides an overview of the possibilities of using art therapy approaches in the therapy of these individuals. In the practical part of the work specifies the impact of art therapy intervention on the changes of art expression of pupils with autism in terms of its progress towards higher stages of development. The course of therapy is described in case studies, and its effectiveness is verified through interpretation and comparison of art production in two boys aged 8 who attended a therapeutic group. Finding the typical features of these pupils' creation and watching art therapy in art production is an important part of it. It can be beneficial for special educators and therapists working with these pupils in their educational process through their recommendations in practice.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou využívania prvkov skupinovej arteterapie pri náprave problémov, ktoré sú spojené so vzdelávaním jednotlivcov s pervazívnymi poruchami vývinu, v špeciálnej triede bežnej základnej školy. Teoretická časť vymedzuje pojem pervazívnej vývinovej poruchy a bližšie špecifikuje Aspergerov syndróm a detský autizmus. Zaoberá sa charakteristickými znakmi výtvarného prejavu detí s autizmom. Poskytuje prehľad o možnostiach využívania arteterapeutických prístupov v terapii týchto jednotlivcov. V praktickej časti práce špecifikuje vplyv arteterapeutickej intervencie na zmeny výtvarného prejavu žiakov s autizmom, a to v zmysle jeho napredovania smerom k vyšším štádiám vývinu. Priebeh terapie opisuje v kazuistických štúdiách a jej efektívnosť overuje prostredníctvom interpretácie a komparácie výtvarnej produkcie u dvoch chlapcov vo veku 8 rokov, ktorí navštevovali terapeutickú skupinu. Hľadanie typických znakov tvorby týchto žiakov a sledovanie arteterapeutického pôsobenia vo výtvarnej produkcii sú jej dôležitou súčasťou. Svojím výstupom v podobe odporúčaní do praxe môže byť prínosná pre špeciálnych pedagógov a terapeutov pracujúcich s týmito žiakmi priamo vo výchovno-vzdelávacom procese.
