Historical Roads in the Frýdlant region. Silesian pilgrimage route

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám vývojem historických stezek na Frýdlantsku od pozdního středověku do novověku. Cílem práce je zmapování především Slezské poutní cesty, vedoucí z polské příhraniční oblasti kolem kláštera benediktinek v Lubomierz (Liebenthal) do poutního místa v podhůří Jizerských hor v Hejnicích (Haindorf). Důraz je kladen na průběh stezky, nacházející se na současném polsko-českém území, rovněž na dokumentaci drobných i větších sakrální staveb podél celé stezky. Součástí výstupů práce jsou mapová zobrazení, dokumentující průběh stezky i terénní průzkum.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis deals with the development of trails in the Frýdlant region from the late Middle Ages to the modern era. The aim of the thesis is to map the Silesian pilgrimage route, leading from the Polish border area around the Benedictine monastery in Lubomierz (Liebenthal) to the pilgrimage site in the foothills of the Jizera Mountains in Hejnice (Haindorf). Emphasis is placed on the course of the trail in the current Polish-Czech territory, as well as on the documentation of small and larger sacral buildings along the entire trail. The outputs of the work include map depictions documenting the course of the trail as well as field research.
