Metaevaporites from the Moravian Zone

Abstract:

V olešnické jednotce svratecké klenby moravika se v dolomitových mramorech vyskytují polohy živcových hornin, jejichž původ není dosud objasněn a je předmětem diskuze. V těchto horninách se vyskytují Na bohaté albity, Cl bohaté Na-skapolity (mariality), častým minerálem je také turmalín (dravit). Horniny s výskytem takových asociací lze interpretovat jako metaevapority. Rovněž výskyty metasedimentů se skapolitem mohou mít původ v sedimentech s příměsí evaporitů. Podrobněji zkoumaná hornina na lokalitě Prosetín, byla původně určena jako intruze oligoklasitu. Ovšem nové výzkumy toto zpochybňují. Údajná magmatická hornina má při nízkém obsahu SiO2 nízký obsah TiO, MgO a Fe2O3. Naopak neobvykle vysoký obsah Al2O3 a Na2O. Ani reakční lem, který se zde objevuje, neposkytuje důkazy o magmatickém původu horniny. Výskyt skapolitu a albitu bohatých na Cl a Na, podporují domněnku, že se může jednat o metaevaporit.

Abstract:

There are layers of feldspar rocks occuring in the dolomite marbles of Olešnice unit of the Svratka window in Moravian zone, whose origin has not been satisfactorily explained so far and they are subject to discuss. These rocks contain albite rich in sodium, scapolite (marialite) rich in chlorine, and tourmaline (dravite). Such rocks can be interpreted as metaevaporites. Occurence of metasediments with scapolites could have origin in sediments with small piece of evaporites. The rock that has been the subject of my research was formerly interpreted as an injection of oligoclasites. However, new research does not support this theory. The allegedly igneous rock has low content of SiO2 and consequently of TiO, MgO and Fe2O3 as well, while beány rich in Al2O3 and Na2O. Similarly, neither the appearance of reaction hems in the rock provides a proof of igneous origin. The occurence of scapolite and albite that are rich in chlorine and sodium support the presumption that the rock should be classified as a metaevaporite.
