Discursive analysis of antigypsyism in Slovak media: Case study of regional elections of 2013 in Banská Bystrica
Abstract:
The aim of this text is a discoursive analysis of antigypsyism in Slovak media. Analysis is concerned with media discourse in the period of regional election of 2013. In this election far-right extremist Marian Kotleba was elected. Antigypsyism is analysed by the means of post-structuralist discourse analysis approach created by Laclau and Mouffe. Cieľom tohto textu je diskurzívna analýza anticiganizmu vyskytujúceho sa vo vybraných slovenských médiách v časovom období pokrývajúcom kandidatúru a víťazstvo Mariana Kotlebu vo voľbách do orgánov VÚC v roku 2013.
