Running-related injuries in ultramarathon runners.

Abstract:

Předmětem řešení této bakalářská práce je analýza výskytu zranění u ultramaratonců v horském běhu. Cílem práce bylo provést analýzu výskytu zranění u specifické skupiny běžců, kteří se věnují ultramaratonům. Respondenti byli ve věku 18 a více let. Výzkumným prostředkem byl použit standardizovaný dotazník (Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center Overuse Injury Questionnairepro), který byl modifikován speciálně pro účel této studie. Celkem se na výzkumu podílelo 220 respondentů z různých výkonnostních skupin. Získaná data byla dále zpracována a podrobena analýze. Se zraněním se celkem potýkalo 80 % respondentů. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že k nejčastější lokalizací zranění dochází v oblasti dolních končetin, přičemž zhruba 25 % zranění bylo monitorováno v oblasti kolene a 26 % v oblasti hlezenního kloubu. Zdravotní problémy negativně ovlivnily během uplynulého měsíce 29 % dotazovaných, přičemž celkem 68 % pociťovalo bolesti při vykonávání aktivity. V této práci nebyla nalezena souvislost mezi typem běžecké obuvi a výskytem zranění.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis of running-related injuries among ultramarathon runners in mountain running. The work aimed to analyze the occurrence of injuries in a specific group of runners who participate in ultramarathons. The age range of respondents was 18 years and older. A standardized questionnaire (Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center Overuse Injury Questionnairepro) is used as a research tool, which was modified specially for the purpose of this research. Overall 220 respondents from different performance levels were surveyed. The obtained data were further processed and subjected to analysis. The injury affected 80 % of the respondents. The results pointed out that the most frequent localization of injuries is in the lower limbs with roughly 25 % of injuries monitored in the knee region and 26 % in the ankle joint region. Health ailments harmed and negatively impacted 29 % of respondents during the past month, with a total of 68 % dealing with pain during performing an activity. The study does not demonstrate an association between the type of running shoes and the injury occurrence.
