V této bakalářské práci jsou srovnány životy dvou známých osobností z oblasti hudby, a to německého hudební skladatele Ludwiga van Beethovena a českého hudebního skladatele Bedřicha Smetanu. Prvotním cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jak velká je povědomost a známost těchto dvou osobností u lidí v České republice a Německu a také to, jaký je zájem v těchto zemích o kulturu obecně.
