Differences in composition and abundance of moss-bound invertebrates, depending on the sorting technique

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá srovnáním efektivity metod sběru bryobiontních bezobratlých. Výzkum probíhal na lokalitě v blízkosti PR V Podolánkách (CHKO Beskydy), v období od července do listopadu roku 2010. Sběr byl prováděn metodou ruční probírky a metodou vysávání na mechu rodu Polytrichum sp. V laboratoři byly vzorky podrobeny doplňkové metodě Tullgrenova nálevkového extraktoru. Celkově bylo odchyceno 3602 jedinců bezobratlých, z toho metodou ruční probírky 262 jedinců a metodou vysávání 775 jedinců. Již z těchto výsledků vyplývá, že byla metoda vysávání efektivnější než metoda ruční probírky. Vyšší efektivita metody vysávání byla potvrzena i z hlediska hodnocení diverzity. Celkově byla metoda vysávání určena jako vhodná pro sběr bryobiontních bezobratlých. Dále byla prokázána lineární závislost celkové abundance na výšce mechu u obou metod. Nejpočetnější skupinou členovců u obou metod byly čeledě Ixodidae a Sminthuridae.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with comparing the effectiveness of collection methods of bryobiont invertebrates. Research conducted at the site near the PR V Podolánkách (PLA Beskydy), in the period from July to November 2010. Collection was performed by hand thinning and by vacuuming in the moss genus Polytrichum sp. In the laboratory, the samples were subjected to additional method Tullgren funnel extractor. Overall, 3602 individuals of invertebrates were captured. Using hand-thinning methods were captured 262 individuals and 775 individuals were captured by vacuuming. Already from these results follows that the vacuum method was more effective than hand-thinning method. Higher efficiency of vacuuming Metod was confirmed also in terms of diversity assessment. Overall, the vacuuming was found to be suitable method for collecting bryobiont invertebrates. It was also shown a linear dependence of overall abundance on height of moss in both methods. The largest group of arthropods in both methods were the families Ixodidae and Sminthuridae.
