An insurance broker as a part of distribution network

Abstract:

Diplomová práce analyzuje osobu a činnost pojišťovacího zprostředkovatele, který představuje jednu z forem distribučních sítí. V době silného konkurenčního boje pojišťoven je právě pojišťovací zprostředkovatel jedním z nejdůležitějších faktorů, které rozhodují o postavení pojišťovny na pojistném trhu. Provedená analýza distribučních sítí v oboru pojišťovnictví, je východiskem pro nastavení optimálního stavu, který zohledňuje existenci asymetrie informací mezi pojistitelem a klientem. V praktické části je na základě teoretických znalostí a vlastního průzkumu autora práce vymezen zcela konkrétní optimální vztah mezi pojistitelem, pojišťovacím zprostředkovatelem a klientem.

Abstract:

My diploma work analyses the person and the work of insurance mediator, who represents one of the distribution network forms. In time of very strong competition of insurance companies, the person of insurance mediator is the one of the most important factors which decide about the position of insurance company in the insurance market. The analyses of distribution networks in insurance industry is the starting point for the settings of the optimal state which takes into an account the asymmetry of information between the insurer and the client. In the practical part, the particular optimal relationship between the insurer, insurance mediator and the client has been defined based on theoretical knowledge and own research of the author of the work.
