Organized activities in nature as a means to reduce aggression in children with ADHD

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Organizované aktivity v přírodě jako prostředek pro snížení agresivity u dětí s ADHD zkoumá problematiku agresivního chování u dětí s ADHD a prostředky pro snížení tohoto nežádoucího chování. Konkrétně se práce věnuje projevům agrese u dětí staršího školního věku. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda lze pravidelnou účastí na organizovaných aktivitách v přírodě dosáhnout snížení agresivních projevů u dětí. V první části nalezneme teoretické poznatky týkající se poruchy ADHD, zásad práce s dětmi s diagnostikovanou poruchou ADHD, samotné diagnostiky této hyperkinetické poruchy či projevů agrese. Po objasnění základních teoretických východisek dále v teoretické části přistupujeme k možnostem, jak lze ve výchově těmto projevům předcházet, jak je zmírnit a jak k agresivním jedincům přistupovat s využitím podpory školních poradenských zařízení, různými výchovnými postupy a preventivními opatřeními. V empirické části je použit kvantitativní výzkum, konkrétně metoda dotazníku, konkrétně dotazník agrese Buss and Perry (BPAQ), který hodnotil míru verbální a fyzické agrese, hostilitu a vztek. Dotazníkové šetření bylo provedeno u 75 respondentů, kteří byli rozděleni do tří skupin dle informací o tom, zda jim byla diagnostikována hyperkinetická porucha ADHD a zda se pravidelně účastní organizovaných volnočasových aktivit v přírodě. Pro výzkumnou část byl stanoven jeden výzkumný problém, šest výzkumných otázek a pět výzkumných hypotéz.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled Organized Activities as a means of reducing aggression in children with ADHD examines the issue of aggressive behavior in children with ADHD and means to reduce this undesirable behavior. Specifically, the work is devoted to the manifestations of aggression in older school children. The work is divided into theoretical part and empirical part. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether regular participation in organized activities in nature can be achieved by reducing aggressive manifestations. In the first part we find theoretical knowledge regarding ADHD disorder, principles of working with children with diagnosed ADHD disorder, the actual diagnosis of this hyperkinetic disorder or manifestations of aggression. After clarifying the basic theoretical starting points, in the theoretical part, we approach the possibilities to prevent these manifestations, how to alleviate them, and how to approach aggressive individuals using the support of school counseling, educational procedures and preventive measures. In the empirical part is used quantitative research, specifically the method of questionnaire - questionnaire of Buss and Perry aggression (BPAQ), which evaluated the degree of verbal and physical aggression, hostility and rage. The questionnaire survey was carried out in 75 respondents who were divided into 3 groups according to whether they were diagnosed with hyperkinetic ADHD disorder and whether they regularly participate in organized activities in nature. One research problem, six research questions and five research hypotheses were set for the research part.
