Cultural studies in foreign language teaching. Example of Manner-Schnitte as Austrian memory space

Abstract:

The thesis deals with some of the modern methods of teaching German as a foreign language. Goal of using these methods is to make the process of learning more attractive to pupils and to involve them more, then while using conservative or more standard methods. The Austrian memory space has served here as a theme, with Manner's Wafers as the example. Week's worth of voluntery afternoon lectures is planned, while day to day analysis is proposed with detailed explanation of the content of tasks, goals and tools used. Thesis illustrates that pupils can be acquainted with the history of a company, and also with cultural knowledge of Austria linked to it, in an attractive way.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou určitých moderních metod ve výuce německého jazyka. Cíl práce je pomocí těchto metod zatraktivnit žákům výuku a zapojit je do ní. Za téma bylo zvoleno rakouské loci memoriae, kde posloužil příklad tradičních Manner sušenek. V praktické části se nachází týdenní plán výuky, který je naplánovaný jako odpolední dobrovolný seminář. Je tam k nalezení popis každého dne s obsahem aktivit, jejich cílem i pomůckami. Lze říci, že žáci se atraktivní cestou seznámí s historií firmy, ale i s vlastivědou Rakouska, která je s ní spojená.
