Means and tools of a manager for solving crisis phenomena and crisis situations in a company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je členěna do dvou částí, teoretické a analytické, přičemž v první části se zaměřuje na základní teoretická a metodologická východiska, která vymezují aktuální teoretické poznatky zahrnující krizový management a krizové situace. První část také představuje legislativní rámec krizového řízení a krizové situace a základní koncepty s nimi spojené. V analytické části je představen konkrétní podnik, Škoda Auto a.s., a dvě modelové krize, na nichž je zkoumáno a analyzováno chování krizového manažera v podniku, jeho rozhodnutí, dopady a možné důsledky a jeho roli v krizovém řízení. Dále je provedena syntéza poznatků z dotazníkového šetření a jsou hodnoceny nástroje manažera využité pro minimalizaci následků krize v ekonomické a zejména v sociální oblasti a navržena možná zlepšení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is structured in two parts, theoretical and analytical. In the first part, the focus is aimed at basic theoretical and methodological starting points which delineate current theoretical knowledge involving the crisis management and crises. The first part also presents the legislative framework of crisis management and crises, and basic concepts connected to them. In the analytical part, a specific company, Škoda Auto a.s., is introduced, together with two model crises which serve as example crises on which the behavior of a crisis manager, his decisions, impacts, possible consequences, and the role of the manager in the crisis management are analyzed. The thesis presents a synthesis of knowledge gained by the survey distributed among employees. The thesis evaluates specific tools of the manager used to minimize the consequences of the crisis in the economic and social field, and suggests possible improvements.
