Positive psychology in primary teacher s'practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pozitivní psychologií v práci učitele na 1. stupni ZŠ, přičemž detailně zkoumá zdroje štěstí a radosti, zvídavost, přání a představy o dobré škole u dětí třetích (8-9 let) a pátých (10-11 let) tříd prvního stupně ZŠ. Teoretická část se věnuje nejprve vymezení pozitivní psychologie jakožto poměrně mladého odvětví vědecké psychologie. Vymezuje její cíle a předmět a krátce pojednává a jejím vzniku. V druhé kapitole práce charakterizuje hlavní témata pozitivní psychologie, jako je štěstí a osobní pohoda, silné stránky a ctnosti a v neposlední řadě vrcholné zážitky (flow). Tuto tématiku jsem vždy pojímala tak, aby byla řádně zpracována v souvislosti s dětmi. Ve třetí kapitole se práce zaměřuje na pozitivní edukaci, na výsledky a přínosy již uskutečněných programů. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se věnuje inspiraci do praxe. Empirická část je zaměřena na zdroje štěstí a radosti, přání, zvídavosti a představy dětí třetích a pátých tříd prvního stupně ZŠ o dobré škole. Jedná se o kvantitativní výzkum dat kvalitativní povahy. V příloze jsou k dispozici praktické náměty na aktivity uplatňující pozitivní edukaci na 1. stupni ZŠ.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is dealing with positive psychology in teacher´s work in primary school, at the same time it explores primary school pupils (8-9 and 10-11 years old) sources of happiness and joy, curiosity, wishes and ideas about „a good school“ in detail. The theoretical part is primarily focused on a definition of positive psychology as a quite young part of scientific psychology. The thesis defines its goals and subject and shortly describes the circumstances of its formation. In the second chapter the thesis characterizes main topics of positive psychology – happiness and well-being, character strengths and virtues and last but not least „peak experiences“ called flow. These topics in the thesis are always in relation to positive education of children. In the third chapter the thesis is dealing with a positive education, results and contributions of programmes of positive education. The last chapter is dealing with inspiration for teacher´s practise. The empirical part is focused on the research of primary school pupils´ sources (in age of 8-9 and 10-11) of happiness and joy, wishes, curiosity and ideas about a good school. It is quantitative research dealing with qualitative data. In supplement there are practical suggestions for activities which are applying positive education in the primary school.
