Diagnostics Ureaplasmata Urealyticum and Mycopasmata hominis in FN Brno

Abstract:

Ureaplasma urealyticum a Mycoplasma hominis jsou častými původci infekcí urogenitálního traktu mužů i žen, s vysokou frekvencí se vyskytují u mužů s negonokokovou uretritidou a u žen s bakteriální vaginózou. Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila na diagnostiku těchto mikroorganismů. Jelikož jejich kultivace je obtížná, identifikace se provádí většinou na základě jejich biochemické aktivity. Sledovala jsem výskyt urogenitálních mykoplasmat u pacientů ve FN Brno v období od 1.1.2009 do 31.3.2009. Na základě výsledků vyšetření jsem zjistila, že ve velkém počtu převažují infekce způsobené Ureaplasma urealyticum, menší podíl tvoří infekce směsné U. urealyticum a M. hominis a jen v malém počtu se vyskytují izolované infekce Mycoplasma hominis. Kmeny Ureaplasma urealyticum také vykazují větší citlivost k antibiotikům než kmeny Mycoplasma hominis.

Abstract:

Ureaplasma urealyticum as well as Mycoplasma hominis are the frequent agens of men´s and women´s urogenital tract infections. They appear very often by men suffering from Non-gonococcal urethritis and women suffering with Bacterial Vaginosis. I focused in my work on the diagnostics of these microorganisms because their cultivation is difficult and their identification is mostly realised on the base of their biochemical activity. I kept track of urogenital mycoplasma appearance by patients in FN Brno from 1st January 2009 till 31st March 2009 . I discovered on the basis of investigation results that the infections caused by the Ureaplasma urealyticum appear in large numbers, less common are mixed infections caused by the Ureaplasma urealyticum and by the Mycoplasma hominis and in small numbers are the isolated Mycoplasma hominis infections. The Ureaplasma urealyticum strains have a stronger antibiotic sensitivity than the Mycoplasma hominis strains.
