Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá navrhováním kolekce svítidel s odkazem na tradiční košíkářské řemeslo a skládá se ze dvou častí - praktické, kde se zabývám navrhováním svítidel a teoretické, kde se zabývám historií tradičního košíkářského řemesla a jeho odkazy, a současností řemesla ve vztahu k modernímu designu ve světě a na české designérské scéně. Výsledkem je funkční kolekce svítidel reflektující historický odkaz v symbióze se současnou designérskou a uměleckou scénou.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the design of a collection of lighting fixtures with reference to the traditional basket-making craft and consists of two parts - a practical part where I deal with the design of lighting fixtures and a theoretical part where I deal with references to the traditional basket-making craft within the history and present of the craft in relation to modern design in the world and the Czech design scene. The result is a functional collection of lamps reflecting a historical legacy in symbiosis with the contemporary design and art scene.
