The Reasons for collapse of travel agencies

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is to analyze the causes of the decline of travel agencies, findings and opinions of the concerned institutions and conclusions for improvement of this situation. The introductory part deals with the nature of business, its life cycle and entrepreneurship in tourism. Subsequently, defining of the basic concepts and relation to monitoring problems, as well as briefly described institutions which took part in legislation of the law 159/1999 Sb. from the later version of regulations. The main part of the thesis is focused on specific research of causes through identifying internal and external influences for the decline of travel agencies, in which the mutual cooperation and intensity of actions, have result in declining of travel agencies. For Identification we can benefit from analyzing statistical data, guided conversation, comparative comparison and questionnaire survey. Based on obtained theoretical knowledge findings and results of processed analysis, there are suggested actions in the form of restructuring and merging the whole organization, by which, it is possible to prevent downfall of travel agencies, eventually reduce downfall to a minimum.

Abstract:

Predmetom tejto diplomovej práce je analýza príčin úpadkov cestovných kancelárií, zistenie názorov zainteresovaných inštitúcií a vyvodenie záverov pre zlepšenie tejto situácie. Úvodná časť práce sa zaoberá podstatou podniku, jeho životným cyklom a podnikaním v cestovnom ruchu. Následne sú vymedzené základné pojmy a súvislostí týkajúce sa sledovanej problematiky, ako aj stručne popísané inštitúcie, ktoré sa podieľajú pri legislatíve zákona 159/1999 Sb. v znení neskorších predpisov o niektorých podmienkach podnikania v oblasti cestovného ruchu. Hlavná časť práce je zameraná na konkrétne skúmanie príčinných súvislostí prostredníctvom identifikovaných vnútorných a vonkajších vplyvov na úpadky cestovných kancelárií, ktorých vzájomná kombinácia a intenzita pôsobenia, má za následok úpadky cestovných kancelárií. Pri identifikácii sú využité metódy analýzy štatistických dát, riadené rozhovory, komparácia produktov a dotazníkové šetrenie. Na základe získaných teoretických poznatkov a výsledkov spracovaných analýz sú navrhnuté opatrenia v podobe reštrukturalizácie celej organizácie a fúzie, ktorých použitím, je možné predchádzať úpadkom cestovných kancelárií, prípadne tento počet redukovať na minimum.
