The past, present and future of the library collection of the Gallery of Fine Arts in Hodonín

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se bude věnovat Galerii výtvarného umění v Hodoníně, respektive jejímu knihovnímu fondu. Projdeme historii galerie samotné a zejména historii jejích knihovních sbírek. Pochopitelně se zaměříme na vznik, získávání i zpracování knihovního fondu a veškerou agendu s ním spojenou. Následně vyhodnotíme jeho současný stav, popíšeme aktuální problematiku spojenou se zaváděním automatizovaného knihovního systému, katalogizací a retrokatalogizací, stavěním fondu apod. Pokusíme se nastínit i budoucnost, která by mohla být po této modernizaci realizována, jako je zpřístupnění fondu veřejnosti, spolupráce s uměleckými obory škol v regionu atd.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis will be devoted to the Gallery of Fine Arts in Hodonín, respectively its library collection. We will go through the history of the gallery itself and especially the history of its library collections. Of course, we will focus on the creation, acquisition and processing of the library collection and all the agenda associated with it. Subsequently, we evaluate its current state, describe the current issues associated with the introduction of automated library system, cataloging and recataloguing, building a collection, etc. We will try to outline the future that could be realized after this modernization, such as making the collection public, cooperation with arts schools in the region, etc.
