The importance of the late-night trains in the Czech railway transport

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je definovat význam posledních večerních vlaků. Dále pak analyzovat časovou dostupnost významnějších sídel na železniční síti v České republice ve večerních a nočních hodinách. Na základě této analýzy následně odhalit místa s problematickou dostupností ve sledovaném časovém období a identifikovat hlavní příčiny těchto nedostatků v dopravní obslužnosti.

Abstract:

The main aim of this work is to define the importance of the late-night trains. Then it analyses the accessibility of more important places in the Czech Republic in the evening and at night. It deduces the places with problematic accessibility on the basis of this analysis at a monitored time and it identifies the main reasons for this lack of connections.
