This diploma thesis deals with the portrayal of the military dictatorship, that ruled Brazil from 1964 to 1985. The aim of this thesis is to analyze how the military regime is represented in the work of contemporary Brazilian author Milton Hatoum. Diplomová práce se zabývá zobrazením vojenské diktatury, která v Brazílii panovala mezi lety 1964-1985. Cílem práce je analyzovat, jakým způsobem zobrazuje toto období současný brazilský autor Milton Hatoum ve svých dílech.
