The role of musical jingles in selected Czech TV series

Abstract:

Hudební znělka hraje v seriálovém prostředí nepostradatelnou roli. Překračuje rámec úvodní prezentace a doprovází děj po celou dobu jeho trvání. V práci se z různých hledisek a za pomoci vybraných tuzemských seriálů z lékařského prostředí zaměřím právě na tento element. Seriály s lékařskou tématikou lze v české televizní dramatické tvorbě označit za tradiční a plně etablované. Zachovávají si ve většině případech určitou úroveň kvality a zároveň jsou svým formátem atraktivní i pro poměrně širokou diváckou obec.

Abstract:

Theme music plays significant role in the set of television series. It overruns framework of an opening presentation and accompanies story whole time. In my thesis I will focus on this element from a range of various perspectives and with the use of selected domestic television series from the medical environment. Series with a medical theme can be in Czech television drama described as a traditional and fully established. In the most of the cases it retains a certain level of quality and as well its format is still attractive to quite wide audience.
