Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat a prostudovat kontroverze a měnící se názory na novelu Harriet Stowe, Chatka Strýčka Toma, která byla napsána za účelem podpořit zrušení otroctví.
Abstract:
The main focus of this thesis is to analyze and study the controversies and the changing perception of Harriet Stowe’s anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Harriet Stowe published the novel in 1852 and soon after its publication, the novel attracted unprecedented attention from both the readers and its critics.
